Dartford Women faced a tight schedule this week, with a midweek game against Ebbsfleet right before the big Sunday match. “It’s been a really strange week because [we] played Sunday then we had a midweek game against Ebbsfleet so we cancelled training,” Dymond shared. However, the coach remains positive, noting that playing matches can sometimes be more beneficial than training sessions. “Having that game prepares us well for Sunday’s game against Wycombe. Nothing beats playing games and getting more minutes under your belt that you can’t recreate in training sometimes.”

The Dartford FC Women have left no stone unturned in their preparation for the Wycombe game. Dymond revealed, “We’ve gone to watch Wycombe, we have done our homework as we do with every game. We’ll utilise our strengths and try hard to carry on our momentum from the league games.”

When asked about his strategy for assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the opposing team, Dymond emphasized the importance of focusing on Dartford’s own game. “We will have looked at who their main players are, where things start and finish. What players we have to counter that,” he said. However, he added a crucial point, saying, “We won’t ever worry too much about opposition because if we are concentrating on our own game, we usually have a successful outcome.”
